In order to answer this question, a vast study of experimental psychology and chronobiology, directed by Virginie Van Wassenhove (NeuroSpin) was launched in collaboration with Inserm and the University of Paris-Saclay.
The goal of this research protocol, coordinated by Virginie Van Wassenhove (NeuroSpin, UNICOG) is to empirically examine the effects of physical and social distancing on our relation to time. Using a quantitative approach (validated questionnaires and experimental psychology tasks) neuroscientists aim to characterize the effects of prolonged isolation on temporal perspectives and on the perception of temporalities in adults.
