In addition to its flow cytometers, the laboratory "FlowCyTech" of IDMIT is endowed with a mass-cytometer (Helios) which exploits the rare metals instead of the fluorescence. This allows to analyze simultaneously the expression of more than 40 cell markers.
This advanced and reference technology in the field of immunology helps to better understand the complexity of the immune response by revealing the existence of new cell populations and helping to discover new bio-markers. These molecular and cellular studies are carried out on immune cells from different NHP animal models developed in IDMIT, and also on human samples, in the context of different Human infectious diseases.
