Movement in MRI, 7T Radio Frequency Fields, and Where They Meet

From 11/25/2024 to 11/25/2024
NeuroSpin amphitheater + Zoom

Talk from  Aaron Hess – Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences

Short abstract:

Everyone moves while they are being scanned in MRI. I will talk about the prevalence of motion and some existing solutions for image and spectroscopy stabilisation. At high static fields (7T and above), the motion problem is compounded by increased resolution demands and motion-induced changes in static magnetic and radio frequency fields. I will discuss how these radio-frequency fields are subject-dependent and how to measure them rapidly. Finally, I will present preliminary ideas on using the motion sensitivity of the RF fields to capture subject motion..
