The main objective of M-CUBE is to go beyond the limitations of clinical MRI imaging and radically improve spatial and temporal resolutions. The clinical use of high-field MRI scanners is significantly limited due to the inhomogeneity and specific absorption rate (SAR) of the radio frequency (RF) fields associated with magnetic resonance.
The main way to address and solve these problems is to increase the number of active RF antennas, which leads to complex and costly solutions. The M-Cube solution relies on innovative systems based on passive metamaterial structures to avoid multiple active elements. These systems should make high-field MRI fully relevant for physicians' diagnosis
