PASREL-Imagerie held its first scientific day on 21 October at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. The event, entitled "Accelerating drug development using biomedical imaging biomarkers," drew an audience of about a hundred industrial or academic actors who had opportunities to not only discuss the interest of in vivo preclinical and clinical imaging in drug development, but also expand their networks and establish or strengthen working partnerships.
The day illustrated PASREL-Imagerie's ability to energize Île-de-France's pharmaceutical and medical-imaging communities.
PASREL-Imagerie was a laureate of the fourth SESAME Filières call for proposals (Investments for the Future program), made by the French State and the Île de France Administrative Region, and operated by BPIfrance.
PASREL-Imagerie in a nutshell
PASREL-Imagerie's ambition is to structure and federate the Paris region's academic and industrial entities working in the pharmaceutical or medical-imaging sectors. In so doing, it seeks to accelerate the development of diagnostic and therapeutic innovations. The program groups four medical imaging platforms, two within CEA-Joliot (SHFJ, NeuroSpin) and two within CEA-Jacob (IDMIT, MIRCen), situated at three CEA sites.
PASREL-Imagerie is an integral part of the PASREL (PAris-Saclay foRmation REcherche & hôpitaL) project. This latter is dedicated to the integration of innovations in the hospital setting, promoted by Paris-Saclay University, and operated by the CEA within the Paris-Saclay research and innovation ecosystem.
