On February 12th, a dossier on cerebral organoids was published in the Cahier Sciences et Médecine of the newspaper Le Monde: "Cerebroids: from mini-organs to maxi-powers ?"
To produce this report, a journalist from Le Monde came to immerse herself in the SEPIA (CEA-IBFJ) - CellTechs (Sup'Biotech) partnership laboratory at the Fontenay-aux-Roses site.
In contact with the researchers, she discovered how these organoids are produced and which infrastructures are dedicated to conducting research in the field of modeling neurodegenerative diseases.
Frank Yates and Ferid Nassor (CellTechs/Sup'Biotech) and Jean-Philippe Deslys (SEPIA/CEA) were also interviewed to retrace the history of organoids and present their work1 in the context of Alzheimer's disease.
