Meeting "Challenge and perspectives in Integrative Bioinformatics"

The 9/17/2018
Auditorium BioPark,  11 Rue Watt  75013 Paris

The Multi-organization thematic Institute (ITMO) « Genetics, genomics and bioinformatics » from the French National Alliance for Life Sciences and Health (Aviesan), with the support of the French Institute of Bioinformatics (IFB), organizes on 17 September 2018 the meeting “Challenge and perspectives in integrative bioinformatics”.

This meeting is open to scientists of various disciplines interested in the development and application of mathematical, computational and bioinformatics methods for integrative biology.

Scientific committee is led by Jacques van Helden (IFB) and Claudine Médigue (IFB and Bioinformatics analyses for genomics and metabolism team leader at the Genoscope)

You are invited to submit abstract.

Since the turn of the Century, every decade has witnessed the development of new high-throughput technologies to monitor diverse layers of biological processes (genome, transcriptome, proteome, interactome, metabolome, …). Each of these technologies motivated the development of new bioinformatics approaches and tools to extract relevant information from the raw data. However, an integrated exploitation is still lagging behind to translate this diversity of complex and heterogeneous data into useful knowledge.
This meeting envisions to establish the state of the art of current trends and future prospects in integrative bioinformatics. It will cover all the steps between data production, computational treatment, statistical analysis, visualisation and interpretation, illustrated by relevant examples from various  domains of life sciences and their applications .
