Tomorrow’s smart grids will integrate renewable energy, reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver a reliable supply of electricity to consumers.
CEA Tech is contributing to smart-grid development through research conducted by CEA Tech institute Liten, which is investigating architectures, dimensioning, control, and optimization of complex energy systems combining multiple energy sources, energy storage, and users.
Liten is also developing energy trading business models, plus software and management tools to ensure the cleanest, most economical source of energy available is used at all times. The goal is of course to increase the amount of renewable energy integrated into the grid.
