Jean-Michel Hartmann, Head of Epitaxy Engineering at Leti, has won the Helmholtz International Fellow Award. This prize commends over 10 years cooperation between Jean-Michel Hartmann and Forschungszentrum Jülich initially on European projects and subsequently under the CEA-FZJ framework agreement. This fruitful and productive collaboration has prompted publication of approximately 70 joint papers in the fields of nanoelectronics and photonics; the latest focusing on GeSn-based components.
Awarded by the Association Helmholtz since 2012, the purpose of this science prize is to highlight the scientific excellence of researchers based outside Germany. It will further strengthen the interactions between the two institutes through short stays and joint presentations at scientific conferences.
