CEA-Leti proudly carries the Carnot label of scientific excellence and professionalism.

CEA-Leti is one of the 39 Carnot Institutes in France. The Carnot label of excellence is awarded to French public research centers that develop R&D partnerships with companies (from start-ups and SMEs to large groups), with the ultimate aim of creating value through innovation.

CEA-Leti, a Carnot institute since the creation of the label in 2006, conducts R&D projects with around 220 companies of all sizes and from all sectors. Together, CEA-Leti and its industrial partners are developing cutting-edge technologies to meet the major economic and societal challenges of the digital, energy and medical transitions of the 21st century.

Carnot Institutes renew their scientific and technological knowledge and expertise by relying on the financial support that comes with the label, which enables them to launch exploratory research projects in new breakthrough areas to anticipate technological solutions to the future needs of industry.

The network of Carnot institutes represents 50% of the R&D entrusted by companies to French public research. It is a real pivot between public research and industrialists and offers the following advantages to their partners:

  • A commitment to listening and quality
  • A professional research partnership
  • World-class technology platforms
  • A multidisciplinary technological research network
