For the eight consecutive year, the workshop which has become a must for every equipment supplier or industrial manufacturer looking for breakthroughs "made in Europe", focused on "new paradigms in microelectronics". From quantum technology, to memories and photonics… the agenda included presentations of the scientific results or trends that will impact R&D in the 21st century.
The workshop, an ideal venue to better understand the French R&D offer in microelectronics, was co-organized for the first time with the Fraunhofer microelectronics institutes, and included presentations of the German offer and the European Leti-Fraunhofer projects.
"Opening up the workshop to representatives of the three key technological research institutes in Europe, CEA-Leti, Fraunhofer and Imec, and the presence of Semi Global's President, Ajit Manocha, demonstrates Europe's will to join forces in order to better promote its offer to industrial manufacturers from all over the world", said Emmanuel Sabonnadière, Director of CEA-Leti. A presentation of CEA-Leti and Fraunhofer world-class technological platforms and facilities also demonstrated the level of scientific excellence in Europe.
