CATROU Sandrine Executive Strategic Marketing, CEA-Leti Contact	Sandrine Catrou obtained an Electrical Engineering diploma from ENSERB and a Master Degree in Microelectronics from Bordeaux University in 1991. She has spent more than 20 years in the semiconductor industry working for different companies and taking on various positions ranging from integrated circuit designer to program manager, product marketing and business manager. During her industrial career, she had the opportunity to develop many miniaturized solutions and semiconductor processes in close collaboration with medical device manufacturers including Boehringer, William Demant, Sorin Group, Medtronic, Siemens Healthineers... In 2005, she became responsible for STMicroelectronics Foundry Business, which focuses primarily on medical device applications. In 2011, she joined CEA Technology Transfer Office as Market Research Manager with global responsibility for CEA Electronics and Healthcare technology transfers. She has been involved in the creation of half a dozen CEA healthcare startups. In 2015, she joined CEA-Leti CTO office as Strategic Marketing Manager to work on the institute technology roadmaps. In addition, she took on responsibilities in 2021 for certain CEA-Leti strategic industrial accounts.

nief NIEF Nadège Deputy Head of Micro-Technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti Contact	Nadège Nief spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical CDMO industry before joining CEA Leti Health. Her educational background is that of a biotech engineer and she has honed skills in partnership development, finance and cross functional management. The CEA Leti Healthcare division develops disruptive micro and nanotechnologies and integrated smart devices with a key mission to create innovation and to transfer it to industrial partners (and/or to create startups) in the fields of medtech, biotech, bioproduction and environmental monitoring.

CALVOSA Eric Project Coordinator Calipso, SANOFI	Eric Calvosa has been working at Sanofi Pasteur since 2003. Previously Eric worked 14 years at Merial (Boehringer Ingelheim). Eric holds an engineering degree in biochemistry CNAM in Lyon. With more than 50 processes developed and several patents, Eric is an expert in cell and viral in Upstream Downstream processes in development and manufacturing up to 4000 L scale. He is currently the project leader of the Collaborative project Calipso on sensor, modeling, machine learning development on Bioprocesses with 5 partners (CEA-Leti ; Centrale Supelec ; Ypso Facto ; GPC Bio ; Cap Gemini).

MAILLEY Pascal CEA-Tech Scientific Director for Healthcare Contact	Doctor Mailley obtained an MSc in material engineering (1992) and a PhD of electrochemistry from the University of Grenoble (1995). After his PhD, DrMailley worked 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry for the development of electrically assisted transdermal drug delivery devices before joining the University of Ulster (Northern Ireland) as lecturer, where he developed biosensors for food analysis and medical electrodes for implants and monitoring. Before joining CEA Leti health, he worked for 13 years as a lecturer at the University of Grenoble. During this period, his research work was dedicated to the design of bioelectronic devices, the use of new carbon materials (nanotubes, diamond, graphene, electronically conducting polymers) for the design of analytical platforms, and the development of new electrochemical concepts. He is the author or co-author of 85 publications (h-index 29) and 13 patents in bioelectronics, biosensors and surface chemistry.

ESTEBAN Geoffrey CEO, IPRASENSE	Geoffrey Esteban has an engineering degree in food science and biotechnology and has 12 years of experience in a small enterprise developing new technologies and new innovative sensors solutions for the biotechnology industry. Geoffrey started his career in R&D and successfully explored product development through marketing, sales and management before founding IPRASENSE in 2013.

NONGLATON Guillaume Research Expert in surface chemistry in Micro-Technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti Contact	Guillaume Nonglaton studied chemistry and biology at the University of Nantes. After some research work on the synthesis of b-carotenoids at Aventis Animal Nutrition (Rhône Poulenc) in Lyon (France), he obtained a master’s degree in fine chemistry in 2001. He received his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry in 2005 from the laboratory of organic synthesis, University of Nantes. His major research was the preparation and development of innovative supports for oligonucleotides and protein microarrays and their applications for biological analysis. He was an invited researcher at the department of chemistry, University of Florida (USA), where he worked on surface chemistry. As a postdoctoral researcher, he joined the department of biochemistry and organic chemistry of Uppsala University (Sweden), where he worked on peptide immobilization for protein recognition in order to prepare a bio-analytical microchip. In 2007, he joined CEA-Leti in the department of micro-technologies for biology and health in Grenoble (France) as a senior scientist specializing in surface chemistry. He was appointed CEA expert in chemical functionalization processes and grafting molecules in 2013. He is involved in several European and industrial projects as project manager or scientific expert. He is the author or co- author of 31 scientific articles.

CHALLIER Cécile Biotherapeutics Head in the Open Innovation Department, CEVA ANIMAL HEALTH	After her doctorate at Paris VII University in 2002, Cécile completed an additional postdoctoral training in bBlood cell biology in UK (Cambridge Institute for medical research, Hematology department, T. Green lab) where she gained her expertise in Hematology and Liquid Cancer. In 2010, she joined Sanofi R&D to lead several discovery projects in Cancer and Virology. She managed several external collaborations with prestigious labs like the Salk Institute in San Diego, US. Her main success was the identification of a Flt3 kinase inhibitor for Acute myeloid leukemia. After many years in drug discovery in human Pharma and expertise in cell biology and biotechnology, Cécile Challier joined CEVA Animal Health in 2018. Her main mission is to drive and implement biotherapeutic strategy within CEVA to deliver innovative biotechnology solutions for animals (including mAbs and RNA therapeutics). For this purpose, she is leading and managing projects in partnership with different external players like CRO, biotechnology companies, institutes and academic labs.

NAVARRO Fabrice Head of microfluidic systems and bio-engineering lab in Micro-Technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti Contact	Dr Fabrice NAVARRO obtained his PhD in Molecular and cell biology, physiology, and neurosciences in 2006 from University Claude Bernard in Lyon, where he focused on neuro-inflammation and neurological disorders. After a post-doctoral position at the CEA Tech on in vivo imaging by using lipid nanoparticles, he joined CEA Leti as a researcher to work on various nano-medicine projects. Since 2012, he has been the principal investigator in collaborative projects dealing with the targeted delivery of bio-macromolecules, such as proteins, peptides and/or nucleic acids for applications ranging from RNAi transfection to vaccine formulations. Since 2016, he has been leading a lab on “microfluidic systems and bio-engineering” at CEA Tech in order to address challenges through the design and validation of new diagnostic tools and/ or therapeutic strategies that use micro-and nano-technologies, in particular microfluidics systems. He is the co-author of 41 publications and 34 reviewed proceedings as well as the co-inventor of 12 patents. Pr. FILAIRE Edith Scientific Director, ICARE GROUP	Edith Filaire earned her PhD in Psychophysiology at the University of Clermont-Ferrand in 1997. Lecturer since 1999, she became Professor in 2006 at the University of Orleans. Scientific consultant (2017) then Scientific Director of the GREENTECH Group (2018), she develops thema on neuroendocrinology, nutrition-health in connection with the intestinal and pulmonary microbiota. Currently, Scientific Director of the ICARE Group since February 2021, she has published more than 150 international articles and 7 book chapters. In 2018, she was nominated for the International Award Women in Tech.

COSNIER Marie-Line Senior scientist and Project manager in Micro-Technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti Contact	Marie-Line Cosnier received an MS. degree in material chemistry from the National College of Chemical Engineering in Clermont-Ferrand, France, in 2000. Since then, she has been with CEA LETI in Grenoble, France. In the Micro-technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, she has been engaged in several European, national and industrial projects to merge technology and biology. Her first experience was in a prospective biotechnology program to merge microelectronic and molecular biology in order to develop new tools for high-throughput-screening CMOS-based DNA chips. For 15 years, she has been a project manager in various fields and acquired strong experience in multidisciplinary project management. In 2013, she was appointed CEA expert on biology and health microsystems and medical devices. Her research interests include the development of biosensors for analytical applications, the development of point-of-care devices for blood parameters in the diagnostics industry, and more recently organ and organoid-on-chip development.

ROUX-JALLET Valérie Industrial Partnership Manager in Micro-Technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti Contact	Since 1994 and during the 12 first years of her active life, Valérie Roux-Jallet occupied various international positions as an R&D team manager in the United States, in Australia and in France (Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Cornéal Industrie now Allergan, Rhodia Inc. and Altros). Through these different experiences, she implemented the marketing of several implantable medical devices (in ophthalmology and aesthetic). In 2006, she moved towards the marketing of innovative products as a Marketing and Technology Transfer Manager at ESRF (European Synchrotron Radiation Facility), one of the world's most powerful synchrotrons. She co-founded the start-up Eveon in 2009 where she managed the marketing and business activities for 10 years. She joined CEA-LETI in 2019 as Industrial Partnership Manager. She has also been French Foreign Trade Advisor since 2002. Valérie Roux-Jallet holds a PhD and Engineering degree in biomaterials from the University of Montpellier (1994). She also has a 3rd degree in Management of Technology and Innovation from Grenoble Business School (2009).

MANALIS Scott MIT, Associate Head, Department of Biological Engineering David H. Koch institute for Integrative Cancer Research, Professor of Engineering Travera, Founder	Scott Manalis is the David H. Koch (1962) Professor of Engineering and faculty member in the departments of biological and mechanical engineering at MIT. He is the associate department head of the biological department and a member of the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and MIT’s Center for Precision Cancer Research. He has been a faculty member at Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1999 and prior to that he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in physics and applied physics at University of California at Santa Barbara and Stanford, respectively. His lab is interested in developing precision measurement approaches for biological and clinical applications and he is a founder of Travera.

ALAVA Thomas Staff researcher - Biological sensor Specialist, CEA-Tech Contact	Thomas Alava received an MS degree in micro and nanotechnologies for integrated systems, delivered jointly by three universities (Politecnico of Turin, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale of Lausanne, and Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble). He earned a Ph.D. degree in the NanoBioSystems Group at LAAS laboratory (Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems) in Toulouse (France). He then held a post-doctoral associate position for three years with Professor Harold G. Craighead at Cornell University, where he developed graphene biological sensors and pioneered non covalent functionalization of graphene materials for biosensors. Thomas Alava joined CEA-LETI in 2014 as a permanent researcher in charge of the global effort on micromechanical biological sensors within the Silicon Device Division of LETI (DCOS). In 2020, he took on the responsibility for a three year program aimed at integrating various LETI biosensing technologies into an autonomous vehicle for the collection and analysis of bathing waters.

VIGNOUD Séverine Deputy Head of Patterning Department, CEA-Leti Contact	Séverine holds a DEA in Biotechnology and Food Industries from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (1999) and a PhD in Polymers and Composite Materials from University of Lyon I (2002). She worked for 6 years in the private sector of the paper industry (AHLSTROM and PROTEX INTERNATIONAL). In 2008, Séverine joined the CEA as a project manager for materials development in the biotechnology and health department. She participated in development projects in collaboration with the start-up Ethera. In 2012, she developed activities in biomaterials and drug delivery systems for localized and sustained delivery of chemical or biological drugs. ISEBE Damien Research Manager, HORIBA	Damien holds a Ph.D in Numerical Simulation and Applied Mathematics from the University of Montpellier. Damien joined HORIBA Medical more than 10 years ago and has directed several collaborative research/innovation programs focused on in-vitro diagnostics. Damien was promoted to Research Manager at the beginning of 2022.

VERPLANCK Nicolas Microfluidic program manager in Micro-Technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti	In 2004, Nicolas Verplanck obtained his MSc in Instrumentation at Polytech’Lille, an engineering school at the University of Lille (France). He also earnedhis MSc in Microtechnology and his PhD at IEMN/University of Lille (France) in 2007. His work focused on electrowetting on superhydrophobic surfaces for mass spectrometry. Following this, he joined Varioptic in Lyon (France) as a project leader and developed, from prototype to industrialization, a liquid lens for optical image stabilization. From 2011 to 2013, he held a customer project management position at SMC Pneumatics where he worked with leading medical companies to provide assembled fluidic components. Since 2013, he has been working as microfluidic project manager at CEA-Leti in the micro-technologies for biology and healthcare division (microfluidic systems and bioengineering lab) and he currently manages the microfluidics technological platform which coordinates the development and the production of microfluidic polymer components. In parallel, Nicolas is board member of the MicroFluidics Association (MFA) and convener of the standardization working groups ISO TC48/WG3 – Microfluidic devices and CEN TC332/WG7 – Microfluidic devices.

DEN DULK Remco System Architect in Micro-technologies for Biology and Healthcare Division, CEA-Leti Contact	Dr. Remco den Dulk is a system architect at CEA-Leti (Grenoble, France) specialized in lab-on-chip systems. He is leading a team of specialists to integrate the biological protocols of clients and partners into an automated microfluidic format. He is responsible for the development of technology building blocks and their integration into functional prototypes. He holds an MSc degree in physics from Delft University of Technology, a PhD degree from Eindhoven University of Technology and has worked at various high-tech companies (Nanoledge, Philips Research, Vescent Photonics, Polymer Vision, Effect Photonics) in the Netherlands, France and USA.

FEVRE Cindy CSO, Pherecydes-Pharma	Cindy Fevre has been the CSO of Pherecydes Pharma since January 2016. She is a microbiologist and expert in bacteriology. Cindy holds a PhD from Institut Pasteur where she focused on the antibiotic resistance, virulence and genetic diversity of Klebsiella. Cindy’s international experience has led her to manage R&D collaborations through multidisciplinary and multicultural research teams. She solid expertise and knowledge of the biology and genomics of bacteriophages.

HADJI Emmanuel Head of the Silicon Nanoelectronics Photonics and Structures lab, CEA-IRIG Contact	Emmanuel Hadji is Senior Scientist and the head of the SiNaPS lab at CEA Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG). IRIG conducts fundamental research in biology, health, nanosciences, cryotechnologies, and new technologies for energy and the environment. Emmanuel Hadji holds a PhD and the HDR degree (Accredited to Supervise Research). His background is in semiconductor physics and photonics. His recent research covers the fields of nanophotonics and emerging applications based on light – living material interactions at the nanoscale. He co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and holds 13 patents. Emmanuel Hadji received the “Grenoble Young Scientist Award” in 1997 as well as the “Innovation” and “Environment” prizes from the Foundation “Rhône-Alpes Futur” in 2003.

DURAFFOURG, Laurent CEO and co-Founder, ADMIR CEA-LETI, Senior Scientist – Silicon Components Department Contact	Laurent Duraffourg received his master's and Ph.D. and degrees in Applied Physics from the University of Franche Comté, Besançon, France (1997 and 2000). He received the HDR degree (Accredited to Supervise Research) in Physics from the University Joseph Fourier Grenoble in 2010. Between 1997 and 2000 his work was focused on optical secure communications, quantum communications and photon-counting integrated circuits. In particular, he developed a quantum key distribution system based on four quantum phase states. From 2000 to 2004, he worked for the start-up PHS MEMS in Grenoble, France in order to develop Micro Opto Electro Mechanical Systems (MOEMS) for optical network and biochemical sensors. In 2004, he joined CEA-LETI to work on NEMS and detection principles at the nanoscale and mesoscopic effects at the nanoscale. From 2011 to 2014, he was co-director of the alliance LETI/CALTECH for NEMS VLSI in order to develop NEMS on large scale integration. He actively participated in the research effort within a joint laboratory between LETI and APIX-technology. From 2014 to 2020, he led the laboratory of nanophotonics and optical sensors (LCO) where he developed mid-infra-red photonics and optomechanics. He led the MEMS division for one year before starting the startup ADMIR which is dedicated to digital multispectral imaging system for health applications. All research activities are related to sensors (microsystems and photonics) and spectroscopy.
