Eric Dupont-Nivet’s biography

Eric Dupont-Nivet is Deputy Director in charge of institutional relations and the building, funding and tracking of key national programs.
  • ​After graduating from ESPCI (School of Industrial Physics and Chemistry), directed at the time by the Nobel Prize winner Pierre Gilles de Gennes, and completing a thesis at Philips Applied Electronics and Physics laboratories at Limeil-Brévannes, Eric joined the CEA's military applications department in 1987.

  • He worked there in close partnership with CEA-Leti on the hardening of Silicon on Insulator technologies. He then took over the integrated circuit design teams.

  • In 2000, with a colleague from CEA-Leti, he founded the startup SOISIC dedicated to Silicon on Insulator circuit blocks (IP). When SOISIC was bought by ARM in 2006, Eric returned to the CEA, which seconded him to the General Companies Department for expert review of strategic R&D issues in the semiconductor field.

  • In 2009, Eric joined the Paris branch of the Technological Research Department. He became Leti Institute Deputy Director in charge of strategy and programs in 2012, then, from 2016, Leti Institute Deputy Director in charge of programs and institutional relations.

  • Since January 1st 2020, Eric has been Leti Institute Deputy Director in charge of institutional relations and the building and funding of key national programs. He is also a member, on behalf of the CEA, of the Board of Directors of the competitiveness hub Minalogic and the association Jessica
