Dear colleagues,
The SyMMES laboratory of IRIG is strongly involved in the organization of the 20th edition of meeting of the European Society for Photobiology that will take place in Lyon, France, between August 27 and 31 2023. The ESP scientific advisory Board is currently finalizing a very exciting program. Some of the addressed topics are in line with the research activities of several teams at IRIG. A first tentative list of sessions includes the following topics:
Medicine Ocular photochemistry: Positive and negative effects
The evolutionary function of skin melanin
Impact of UV radiation in Human inflammatory health disorders
Emergent technology for phototherapy
Modulation of pigmentation and melanoma
Non melanoma skin cancer
Light in dentistry
Industrial Perspectives and controversies in sun care
Update on physiological effect of sunbeds
Photoprotection
PDT Combination therapies or "PDT in combinations"
PDT and immunology
Brand new delivery approaches for PDT
Emergent PS in PDT
Human antimicrobial PDT (ESP-ASP symposium)
Environmental Antimicrobial PDT for environmental applications
Pollution and sun exposure
The impact on sunscreens on aquatic environments
Photosynthesis Intact organisms and photosynthetic biohybrids
Advances on molecular mechanisms in natural and biomolecular biohybids
Photosystem II and oxygen evolution”
Photofunctional proteins and peptides
Biodiversity in the regulation of light harvesting
Photobiology and photosynthesis in marine photosynthetic organisms
Plants Plant circadian biology
Plants, UV radiation, and environmental change
Photochemistry Non-canonical DNA structures: from biological targets to (opto)electronic materials
Photodamage and phototoxicity: a mechanistic view
Recent applications of time resolved spectroscopy to biological systems/processes
Bioluminescence
The registrations are openedThey will remain opened
until August 15, with early bird deadline on June 15. On-site registration will be possible.
It is also time to
submit your abstract for oral presentation and posters. The deadline is
April 30.
You will find much more information on the
web site of the meeting.
Feel free to transfer this mail to colleagues who may be interested in this meeting or to diffuse through your favorite scientific society.
Information is also available on the social networks of ESP:
We hope that we will meet many of you in Lyon!
