With its solid multidisciplinary culture and a capacity for methodological and technical innovation, the DSV possesses equipment, platforms and expertise at the forefront of international research across all of its work in the energy and health fields.
In the field of health, the DSV's strengths lie in its remarkable instruments (imaging, equipment for large-scale biology and structural biology, etc.) suited for upstream research (e.g. the identification of biomarkers or therapeutic targets) as well as for preclinical or clinical studies (e.g. tracking diseases, or the simultaneous development of drugs and companion tests).
In the field of energy, the DSV combines chemistry and large-scale biology (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics) to design and offer to industry biocatalysts for green chemistry or bio-inspired catalysts for hydrogen production.
The DSV's equipment and platforms are primarily associated with the skills and know-how recognized by and incorporated into the National Infrastructures in Biology and Health (Infrastructures Nationales en Biologie et Santé). They
are open to the academic research community and industry.
